Crostini club

Crostini is basically any type of toasted bread with toppings, which can be cheese, meat or vegetables. It was thought that in Medieval times, peasants would eat their meals on slices of bread instead of using ceramics. Often served with wine.

Well that sounds like a party in the making! This is even more fun than make your own pizza. Portions are smaller, guests can try dozens of combinations in one sitting and no further cooking required!

I love to put out a bunch of ingredients and let my family and friends create – their – own. It gives me a secret thrill to watch people, whom I otherwise assumed were not creative, come up with their own taste sensations.

  • buffalo mozzarella
  • arugula

Can you imagine ordering up a baker’s dozen of mixed crostini from your favourite shop, much like we do pizza now?
