Aker Brygge

After about, (I hate to even write the number) 40 trips to Europe, my husband had the pleasure of joining me. Our home base while in Oslo, Norway was a hotel only a few blocks away from the Aker Brygge. I have eaten in these restaurants and strolled along the water here, more than in my hometown Vancouver. That is a bit weird. But there you have it.

I love this photo, the light was perfect. The view is across the water from the Aker Brygge.

This is one of my favourite type of photos. Moody light, water and boats. Must be the prairie girl fascination with all things from the Ocean.

There is an excellent mix of retail, restaurants and residential properties. The architecture showcases some of the best of Scandinavian design.

And there we are, looking very much at home in our rainwear. This trip was early August and we left pretty hot days in Canada. Needless to say, we were happy for the jackets and had to buy a few things to get through the week.
