In my Mother’s blog called, A Lighter Shade Of Grey, there is a post about a rock family. My daughter, who is called the Wild Child, left a cool reminder of herself at the cabin this summer.
You would assume that these are depictions of family members that my daughter knows. But you would be wrong. She says, “it is a family, just not ours”. Gotta love her spunky personality. (Although my husband is sure that the big guy on the right is Grandpa…)
I quickly checked the rocks after I posted this picture on my blog. The back of the big rock on the right has the words ‘Grandpa’ written on it.The big rock on the left, the one with the curly hair says ‘Mom’, if I remember correctly. Of course, that doesn’t mean they are the Wild Child’s Grandpa or Mom, I guess…
You never really know what The Wild Child is thinking. She says that the boy is lying on his side….I thought that was a dog!
Update 2013 – the felt pen drawings eventually faded away, and the flood scattered the rock family to parts unknown. Good thing we have the photo!
Ultimate recycling! Back from where they came, as it should be.
